Berry ink ingredients:
½ C. Ripe berries (blueberries, cherries, blackberries, strawberries, elderberries, raspberries, etc.)
½ Tsp. Vinegar
½ Tsp. Salt

Fill a strainer with the berries and hold it over a bowl. Using the rounded back of a wooden spoon, crush the berries against the strainer so that the berry juice strains into the bowl. Keep adding berries until most of their juice has been strained out and only pulp remains. Add the salt and vinegar to the berry juice. The vinegar helps the ink retain its color and the salt keeps it from getting too moldy. If the berry ink is too thick, add a tablespoon of water. Store in a baby food jar. Only make a small amount of berry ink at a time and, when not in use, keep it tightly covered.

look for berries, vegetables, and vegetation that is bright or rich in color. (obivous, right? i mean, you're not going to get much hue out of a piece of cauliflower). anyway, try blackberries, pomegranate, grapes, blueberries, cherries, pumpkin, spinach. don't forget that for ink you can even use fruits or vegetation that isn't edible. perhaps some flowers? anyway, try grinding and mashing them up in a mortar and pestle, then strain the "juice" or "oil" through a strainer and eventually through a piece of cheesecloth. the color you come up with can be turned into actual useable ink or even paint but you'll have to add something to it-- something that makes it coagulate i think. ask at a local art-supply store about ink-production and what sort of things you might add to your concoction to make it more usable. good luck!

pick bright colored berries and vegetables-such as pomegrantes, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries and such. crush them into a fine pulp, then strain it, with cheese cloth or something, seperating the pulp and juice. depending on what u want to do, u can use the juice as an ink if u get a fountain pen. u can put mix the juice into water and dye small pieces of cloth for ur project, tho i'm not sure of the exact amounts of each u'd need.
