i wouldn't recommend it because u are still bleeding and the only place for it to go is in the water not very hygienic...

You could go swimming with out a tampon, but why would you want to? If you happen to flow while in the water everyone will see and be grossed out (unless this is your intent?). If it's the tampon that you object to than try a sponge or an 'instead'. It's the most sanitary thing to do.

If the pool is right beside the changing rooms and your period is light, maybe!
Once you're in the water the flow will stop and won't restart til a few minutes after you come out of the water, but the time period from getting your costume on to getting in the pool is a different matter!
It would be considerate to other pool users to wear a tampon.

LOL...You DO NOT stop bleeding in the water. I suggest you wait til it's over before you swim but if you must then wear a tampon and change it often.
