**I'm looking for answrs from health care people**
She's always been friendly and a little flirty. Last time I saw her, she mentioned her husband thinks she's a b|tch.
This time--she asks if I date. I say that I am not asexual. "Seeing anyone special," she asks. I could only grin wide and answer, "No." She became a little flustered and explained that doctors often neglect to obtain social history. She showed her hand, but I forgot to look for the ring.
She said she needed a book to read and asked me, knowing I hold an advanced degree. I recommended one and also ordered it at the local Borders under her name and work phone (she is not obligated to buy the book).
Today is Thursday; I plan to fax her a little info sheet on the author this Tuesday. She will know who ordered the book. Of course, she has my phone number.
She likes unique restuarants, I told her of a special one and she asked what to do if she sees me there. I said that meant she'd have to buy me breakfast

I think your fantasy life is running wild. Even though you might be the most desirable male patient she has ever seen I don't think she would risk her license to practice medicine by having sex with a patient. That is always a no no in medical ethics.

OK, I'm a woman physician so maybe I can help. There are two issues here. First off she's married. Whether she's a doctor or not, if she's being flirty, which it sounds like she is, this is inappropriate. Now if she was single, to flirt with a patient is also inappropriate as well, but not to the same degree. If YOU asked her out, if she was single, this would be the only appropriate means, and the minute you went on a date, she would have to stop seeing you as a patient. This is still murky and a bit creepy. There is a huge possibility that what you are reading is just nervousness and she said a few inappropriate personal details she should have kept to herself. She shouldn't mention probably to anyone what her husband thinks of her, most especially a patient. If you'd want to actually be with this person and they are flirting while married, trust is not high on her list or yours. I'd stay clear. So, re: being a doctor, this is not the issue at hand. It's more important that she is being strangly open and flirty with a professional client while married.

It certainly sounds like there is a connection. She may just see you as a potential friend though if she is married. Also if she is going through a split up she may be inclined to flirt with anyone just to see what it is like again and to see if she still can. I would find out the whole deal on the marriage first, but it does sound like she likes you from the information provided.

No they don't only date docs, of route. it really is hassle-free for them accordingly far nurses too, or others the position they paintings. maximum folk meet someone at paintings. it really is somewhat extraordinary you're fixated on relationship a healthcare professional and are transforming into a healthcare professional stalker for that reason.

umm- some people are just really friendly. But usually most doctors don't date their patients. Obviously there are exceptions, but what happens if you guys do hook up then break up? You are going to probably have to switch doctors.

It really sounds like your doctor is interested in you. Unless you're over reading and embellishing the story a little....

sounds as if you Dr. is walking a fine line with the dr./ patient fraternization. That is not very professional especially since it happens in the office when she is supposed to be caring for your health.

Fax her a xerox of "the goods". Only two outcomes there. A restraining order accompanied by a lawsuit or one hell of a first date.
