Cut stem in angle,about 2inches from stem,put in fresh water,{from the sink,Not Spring}Add ateaspoon of sugar and acouple of pennys in water and I promise you,It will come back to life!Good Luck,Hollywood

Do you mean a rose bush planted in your garden? I've just had to exert some tough love on roses that were neglected last season and am really surprised at the strength of the life force. Here's what (to my amazement) worked for me:
1. Make sure that they have a lot of light - cut back overhanging shrubs etc.
3. Ruthlessly cut back to only the healthy, green, strong stems. If after that it only has one stem left, you may as well leave it in the ground for now (this is late Autumn) in case it produces fresh shoots from its rootball next Spring, but otherwise prepare to say goodbye because it'll be forever lopsided.
3. Remove anything growing nearby that could be competing with it for food. Roses are hungry beasts.
4. Give it a really good anti-fungal spray and sterilise the soil while you're at it. A couple of months ago you could also have fed it, but now (late September) if you feed it will put on new growth that could be too weak to withstand the winter - but come springtime, give it a good feed of proprietary rose food, ash from your bonfire, rotted horse manure, compost ... but it's possible to over-feed so take a look at an instruction manual to see how much is too much.
5. Check that they are really well heeled-in and protected against windrock.
I'm surprised at how many I'd given up on responded to this treatment and how very strong the life force is. Hope that helps a bit.

You cant really = you could try cutting the bottom inch off the stem and standing it in water (not too cold) up to its neck for a few hours. Not sure this will work with roses tho - if you love it or it has significance why not press it before it wilts further then you can keep it dried forever.

You can try aspirin or even a little ginger ale in the water. If these don't work, take it out and hang it upside down while it dries. That way you have the perfect shape of the rose.

I have a ton of rose bushes and one in the house, the wilting of the rose is normal, as long as the plant is green and looking good you should have nothing to worry about, new roses will grow.

Any cut flowers in vases, can be REFRESHED with replacing the water with Lemonade or soda water!! try it, it works.. if its a bush in the garden, you should feed it woith good Rose food, this will also help with new blooms..

cut the stem under running water and put it back in the vase with fresh water, put an aspirin in the water, if it isnt too far gone this might help..

cut an inch off the end and add a tiny amount of bleach to the clean water.
