Computed tomography (CT), originally known as computed axial tomography (CAT or CT scan) and body section roentgenography, is a medical imaging method employing tomography where digital geometry processing is used to generate a three-dimensional image of the internals of an object from a large series of two-dimensional X-ray images taken around a single axis of rotation. The word "tomography" is derived from the Greek tomos (slice) and graphia (describing). CT produces a volume of data which can be manipulated, through a process known as windowing, in order to demonstrate various structures based on their ability to block the x-ray beam. Although historically generated were in the axial or transverse plane (orthogonal to the long axis of the body), modern scanners allow this volume of data to be reformatted in various planes or even as volumetric (3D) representations of structures.

Although most common in healthcare, CT is also used in other fields, e.g. nondestructive materials testing.

It stands for computerized axial tomography also known as a CT Scan. Cat scans are a pile of x-rays piled on top of each other to give a 3-D affect so that doctors can accurately perform surgerys or so that they can see organs that are more defined. They also use CT's so they can guide certain instruments into the body accurately without puncturing any other organs.

Are you specific you're soliciting for something in psychology? Having been a professional in that container for over twenty years, now retired, and having purely been alive for as long as I actual have, i ponder whether you do not recommend CT test, that's in the scientific container and is what i might call a complicated style of x-ray that has been used for no less than 2 many years now, in basic terms exceeded by utilising the MRI, a maximum severe "x-ray" gadget which you're actual placed into as a manner to discover any scientific issues. Sorry if i'm misreading or fake impact your question, yet, it purely regarded somewhat in the incorrect path. God Bless you.
