In general, when candidate's training and experience are from another country it is discounted somewhat. Exceptions are: if the profession is an area with great labor demands or if the candidate is transferring within the same company.

You have to be prepared to take some training courses, or obtain Canadian professional accreditation (if applicable), or look for a lower seniority level job than your home country.
