A fatalistic view of humanity! It means that it's wrong to believe in anything & that it makes more sense to doubt everything. It's ironic because as Christians we were taught that faith is a virtue & doubt (like doubting Thomas who didn't believe the spirit he saw was Christ resurrected but had to see the holes in his hands & feet & side to be sure) is a sin. Whoever said this was probably being deliberately ironic.

Human's had faith on eating the apple - Adam & Eve.
The virtue was their doubt that they were doing everything right that God wanted them to, after that.
Faith and Doubt -positives & negatives are always present in anything. It is a balance. The doubt can make the faith stronger or vice versa......

It's ambiguous, false & backwards - that's what it is. Humanitys first sin was doubt, the first virtue was faith.

Blind faith, accepting what someone else has told you without reasonable proof is a sin of stupidity. Questioning, doubting and seeking answers (through reason) is a virtue.
