what's an emo? is that anything like elmo? elmo is not sad!

People think that I'm emo because of my hairstyle, but trust me. I'm the farthest from it. I am a very happy person who barely ever stops smiling. I'm an optimistic guy whose eyes scrunch up when I smile because I have high cheek bones.
Just being sad doesn't mean you're emo. Having emo style and being sad is emo.

Oh my God, I always wondered that too. It's like people aren't allowed to have feelings anymore ever since that word's been invented. It's just that everyone thinks it's fun to call people emo. Thanks to that term, I have to hide most of my sadness whenever I'm feeling that way. Even girls who wear pink and unicorns can be called emo. Hopefully the trend will phase out.

look at what t.v, radio and other mass media keep shoving into our faces, people happy and smiling and being content. people don't want to see or hear bad news or problems. people here where i work ask "hey, what's up? how are you doing?" at which i ask them "do you really want to know? at which point they leave without answering.
