Get an attorney and sue.
I think that poster is correct...you can file a claim with the bankruptcy court and judge. Like a judgment against them and ask for your wages. They would be included in the repayment. I think...doesn't hurt to try. Good luck.

Willie ain't far off.
As an unsecured creditor, the bankruptcy court puts you in line in front of all of the "secured creditors" people like banks, landlords, certain suppliers, etc.
There's a good chance that you'll never see that money.
It's probably worth checking with the bankruptcy court to see if you have any options.
You could also contact a TV station or two and tell your story how you're just a poo working stiff stuck by a big corporation with a worthless paycheck. make sure to hold the paycheck up to the camera).
Maybe they'll be shamed into paying you (or maybe it'll just help you get a new job).
Local news loves stories about the little guy getting screwed by The Man.

Yeah, right...file a claim, and wait a few years to get squat. You'll have to stand in line to see if the big dogs get paid first. Your little check is waaaaaay down the line on their list of concerns.
Like the first guy said, you're screwed.

Yes, in every backruptcy the court appoints a trustee to dissolve the company and distribute the funds raised to pay off loans and other outstanding debts. Salaries and wages are considered to be outstanding debts. Find out who the trustee is and present your cheque to the trustee. He or she will ask you to sign a statement of claim which is already preprinted.

This sounds bad but I used to work at grocery store that cashed checks for companies, restaurants etc. and it took awhile for them to notice that the checks were no good and stopped accepting them. If you hurry you might be able to cash it.
