In Massachusetts for 12st offense:
1.Arrest
2. Loss of license for 75 days total. 30 by court and another 45 by Registry of Motor vehicles. First offense.
$500 to get it back after 1st suspension
3. $1000+ For Attorney fees or more. You will need one.
4. $650 for court cost
5. $800 for 1 year unsupervised probation
6. At least 2 days work lost for court appearance
7. Alcohol and drug school for 18 weeks, One day a week
Paid for by you. $750.
About $4000 plus any other stupid thing that happened , like an accident. That will add insurance surcharges for 7 years
This DUI stays on your record forever.

Any alchohal in your blood under the age limit is found guilty not licence rvoked but for small time of suspension.

None in Massachusetts because the police cannot make you take the test. Our representatives are lawyers who profit defending drunk drivers so they'd rather put up with the carnage.
