You need to read my mom's books! They are not boring at all. My mother is Dianne Henderson, author of The Miller's Pond Mystery Series.

The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran. It is a great short book which is spiritual without being religious. It is a philosophical story that can be read in a few hours or for a lifetime.

Read something by Christopher Moore. His books run somewhat along the "horror" genre, but they're very amusing at the same time.

i wish you wouldnt have said non thick...just because there are a lot of pages doesnt meant that they arent good or that they are hard to read...just sayin...i know a lot of good books, but they are really thick...srry
