Interesting thing you've pointed out. I think it's important to remember these are people no different than anybody else. Some are genuinely special people in a way that communicates to all of us something quite different. For the most part, it's not a good sign if these people are too important a part of your life other than what they do. Entertain. As in, you have leisure time. I'll watch you do or say something. That's about it. Visceral, vicarious escape through the life of another isn't too cool. It also may give a certain power to people who really only exist two dimensionally for all intents and purposes. And that one's own life may be as nonexistent.
