Why would they want to?

It keeps foreign prices we actually pay for goods down.

Sort of like foreign aid.

I don't think they want to.

They need to start exporting more than they import. I don't think this will ever happen. There are things we provide to the world that aren't measurable. Like labor, funding, capitalisim, and economic expansion. This is not tracked on our trade deficit.
