Basically its the person that gives credit to society for who they have become whether its positive or negative ie: "people hate me, thats why I'm poor" Its all about our perceived role in society. We should use the "looking glass self" to figure out why we really are the way we are by stepping outside of ourelves. I assume this is for an intro sociology class and I hope this helps.
