I sell them and have been asking the same question! NY and a few other states are really strict on self defense product laws. It is to keep them out of the hands of criminals - the only problem is they wouldn't be criminals if they obeyed laws like this in the first place - that just leave you out of an opportunity to own somthing legally - move to Texas or Florida.

valid question, one we've been asking ourselves for a long time... (I live in NY state) Illinois just passed something like that too.
I guess too many people using them for the wrong reasons. Self defense gets pushed to the side when the freaks use them for attacking people.

most weapons are illegal to carry around without a concealed weapons permit.
Not familiar with NY laws, but that is most likely the case. If you get the permit, you can carry a weapon.
