I just sold off bunch off stocks and am lookking for something else to put them in any ideas I can do some research

try a couple of close-ended mutual funds until you do your homework....
they are paying a nice dividend....a good place to park some money until that next good idea comes along

check out RNE, IFN, IAF, USA, GIM, maybe ASG and PEO
you'll be globally diversified and net an average of 10% -12% dividend...since they buy and sell like stocks...just sell off as many shares as you need to buy that next great stock...and let the dividends feed the kitty as you go...
