It's when someone pulls your underwear, usually by the wasteband, up to somewhere around the middle of your back and it gets wedged up in the crack of your butt. An atomic wedgie is when they pull it up over your head.

When some one reaches down someone's pants and pulls the top of their underwear up so the bottom comes up and makes a really painful effect on your groin. It hurts!
