I used to cut myself when I was younger. I don't know her situation with her parents, but when my friend told my parents it only got worse. I ended up getting kicked out on my own at 16. The best thing for her is to have support. Whether it comes from her friends or family. The only thing that got me through it was the love of my friends. This is a hard situation because the act of cutting is a release for so much pain, it is hard to give that up. She is hurting inside and she will not be able to stop until she can release that pain in another way or make the pain go away.

OMG sweetie yes tell someone. Tell allot of someones. Cutting is a very big problem. It means she is dealing with emotional pain she has suppressed and dealing with a physical pain in it's place. She may have been abused, or raped. Start with the school councilors
a teacher to help you tell her parents. I know my little siter use to be a cutter. she was also annorexic and nearly died
