This sounds like a question that has been asked by someone who sees the brighter side of life. But no everything is terrible, thanks for asking. I was passed over for a promotion and my hubby lost his job, just as we were trying to have a baby. One door closes, a window opens, right. Well the window is smaller than the door and it is higher up!!! 6 kids, huh. Better you than me

Life has it's ups and downs. At the moment, I am in an "up" stage and so life is going brilliantly and I'm happy with the way everything's turned out.
When I'm in a "down" stage, however, life is terrible and I wish things could be different. Even the positive things look bleak.
I don't have expectations about how my life will turn out and so I can't say it's turned out the way I want it to just because I don't know what I want it to be. All I know is that, whatever I'm doing, there should be more "up" times than "down" times to make it a happy life or otherwise that there should always be "up" times following the "down" times.
It's unrealistic to expect that there won't be those "down" times so when we are in that stage we should be looking forward to when the "up" time will come round again rather than dwelling on everything in the "down" stage.

My life is not going the way I expected it to go...whatsoever. I will be happy with it shortly though. My life is....pretty good, just not great, like I expect. Why? Because I work a stressful horrible full-time job and go to college full time to make something of myself. Once I graduate college, I think I'll be living the dream....got the family, the money, the house, and career....my dreams!

No my life is definately not going the way I want it to, it couldn't be further from the path. I am wondering a lot lately how did I ruin my life so much. It's not through lack of trying or laziness, I don't know what went so wrong.

My life is going the way I want it to. I'm happy and comfotable. I may be married with a child but I still have excitement and things to look forward to. My life is not boring or filled with sorrow. Can it get any better?

If life really is like a box of chocolates, I seem to keep getting the ones that look really yummy on the outside, but have the really yucky nougat inside. I yearn for the peanut butter cups.

my life is.
it is not what i expected, but better than it could be. i am somewhat happy, but wishing for things to move faster. it feels as though i am changing gears, so i'm trying to be patient.
you sound sort of passive in your question though... do you not think your life is your own? you say "going" and "turning out" as if you were watching it instead of living it. was that intentional?

i would have to say yes and no. i have 2 wonderful kids, but i'm a single parent. i want to get married soon, you know, fin that one special guy, but all the guys i meet are jerks. i have a great job, but can't seem to do things up to their expectations. i have no friends, and no social life. i rarely have time for myself. but, i'm trying to look toward the brighter things that are happening in my life. it's hard to, but i'm taking it day by day.
