That's always a tough question to answer because even though I consider the '70s to be the lame decade of the Rock Era (Which should make that choice easier) there can still be some great gems if only from sorting through the sheer volume of songs from that decade. One of my top faves from then is:
"Video Killed the Radio Star" by Buggles (1979)
I noticed someone else listed "Substitute" by Clout. What a great song that was!
