its been 53 days since my last period and i am having some signs of pregnancy. ive had sore breast/nipples for the past two weeks and yesterday it just felt like it was tingling inside. i started feeling very fatigue, i go to bed earlier than i usually do, i felt like my period was coming for the past two weeks and it hasnt come. i went to planned parenthood three days ago for the blood test but they only gave a urine test, the test was neg. They said if i wanted the blood test id have to pay $100 and i think that was too much. I have a doctor but the earliest app. i could get was in mid october. i read there are some women who took the urine test and it came out neg and when they took the blood test it came out positive. when i went in for a pap smear on sept 6 i wanted to do a blood test and they said you dont need a blood test the urine sample is good enough. what do you guys think? do you know any clinic that can give me a blood test without me waiting forever to get one?

well...keep your appt. with your current doc. (the one in mid october) go to the ER..tell them what is going on and that you would really like to know for certain..your insurance will be able to cover you..if you do not have insurance you can work out a payment plan with the hospital...I found out in the ER I was pregnant..but it was cuz I was soo sick I couldnt stop throwing up and I was so dehydrated that I couldnt walk..heehee but that was cuz I was pregnant. but anyhoo if you are pregnant and dont have insurance you can get on medicaid but first things first...go to the ER tell them whats going on...where you have been (doctor wise) and what they have said tell them everything you just told us and they will hook you up. Good luck.

Go buy a $ 5.oo pregnancy test at Wal-mart and do it again.
They are very accurate except in RARE cases and most Doctor's offices even use them.
Pee in a cup, DO NOT get any urine in the test results window.
Also, if your test comes out positive you won't get in to the Doctor any earlier. You'd think the Doctor wold want to get you on prenatal vitamins right away. But that is just the way it was with my 3 children.
P.S. Don't go to the ER. That is for emergencies and this is not an emergency. Insurance is sky high because people abuse it by going to the ER for non life threatening events.

if you are usually very regular with your periods then i understand your concern. the urine test looks for the human growth hormone which usually doubles every few days that's why when some women take a test too early it doesn't show, but then a few days later it does. that's a real shame you need to pay so much for a blood test, i can appreciate how anxious you must feel. i'm in australia and things like blood tests get paid for by government, so i can't help you there i'm afraid. maybe wait another couple of days and try another urine test? book the dr's in the meantime and if you get your period before then, just cancel. that's a tough one. good luck!

I took the urine test before! they fail! all 3 of mine said negative! and your doctor should have never said the urine test is fine because the blood test NEVER lie! I took a blood test and it came out positive and i had my baby girl about a year ago. So take the blood test! until then be care full of what you eat and eat healthy! No drugs and no Alcohol!

I never had the blood test, my doctor did a pee test, just like the CVS brand that I had bought. They all came up positive too. I am 21 weeks now, had the ultrasound and everything. Those things are like 99% accurate. Maybe stress over thinking you might be pregnant has delayed your period. It has been known to happen.

well Hun, first i will recommend to visit this website, www.askdramy.com, yes your are right some people do take longer to get the pregnancy hormone in their bodies. You may just be a late bloomer. just wait until your next period is due and take another HPT, when you visit your doctor in Oct, I'm shore that he/she will be happy to answer any of your other questions once your examined and he/she knows whats going on, good luck

I examine organic Childbirth the Bradley way. It even includes the routines you want to practice. I also examine The Brewer clinical nutrition plan for ordinary and intense-threat being pregnant. I observed the Brewer nutrition plan even as i develop into pregnant. I used the Bradley approach with all 4 of my births. I also examine Husband Coached Childbirth, yet that e book does no longer include what you want to practice to get waiting for beginning.
