It means that the writer sent the e-mail to people under the heading of Bcc.
If you use that, instead of cc, then the addresses do not appear on the e-mail.
It is a way of protecting the privacy of people when sending a mail to several recipients.

Someone is protecting your privacy, and I wish everyone would do this.
When you send e-mails to more than one person, and you put them all on the "To" line, every recipient can see everyone else's e-mail address. Same with forwards. When I do multiple mailings I put all the addys in the "Bcc" line so the addys are not visible to any recipient. A lot of us would prefer not to have our e-mail addy broadcast far and wide.

If you don't know why you got the e-mail, it's spam. Click the spam button.
They're just sending it to masses of people and haven't put in specific e-mail addresses in the To: box.
Like I said... spam.

its spam ... the sender is using wildcards in the address so it finds people with part of your username in their address or they sent it using Bcc(blind copy to) ... just delete it without opening it, it may contain a virus
