It all depends on if the person has had childbirth education, and if they are prepared for the birth including having a support person. Childbirth education especially a non-hospital based course teaches you about all the options available other than medications, that can prepare you for a birth that is as pain-free as possible. There is also hypnobirthing, which can also be very helpful. The most important thing is to let your body do what it has to do, and let things happen naturally, and be as stress free as possible. An excellent support person also helps, including having a doula at your birth.

Usually when you have an epidural then you really dont feel any pain for it to be to hard. I had an easy birth w/ my epidural and yes my cramps during my period are worse then they were before I was pregnant. Thats not to say everyone woman is like this.

Hmm.. I find that hard to beleive, but maybe in some cases child birth is quick and easy. This is probably the case when they don't have it naturally. Although I have had some pretty bad cramps.

It's because they couldn't feel anything after the doctor gave thenm a shot in the spine. It's called an epidural shot. It numbs the nerve endings from your waist down.

It was true for both of my babies, and I had no drugs of any kind. Like everything else, some people just have an easier time than others and there's no way to know till you live through it, but it wouldn't matter anyway...the minute you see your baby, you forget every bit of the pain. :)

Hell yes it would hurt. How about you try to push something for 9-10 hours out of your womb. Would that hurt?!?! Huh??!? Would it...

I rest my case T_T
btw sweety, tattoo's are a whole different ballpark, nothing close to childbirth T_T
