I've gained 20 lbs of fat over the past few months because I stopped exercising. I've noticed that my penis is always soft even when erect, extremly weak, and doesn't last long. They didn't used to be like that before. Is it because I gained weight? Will losing weight restore my erectile funciton?

Are you still getting hard erections during the night/first thing? If so, this would suggest the problem is psychological and maybe to do with your weight.

If not, you should see your GP to rule out any physiological cause.

Losing weight will help you mentally, but not physically on this one. Is there some stress other than the weight gain going on in your life. That would make a difference.

Lack of exercise may be contributing, but a more likely thing is that you are getting older. The usual prescription medicines for this seem to work, although they are expensive.

I really don't see where excess fat can cause you not to get an erection. You may want to go to a urologist. Do you think you maybe a Diabetic or something?
