If the remains of the key is sticking out, try a tweezers, grad hold and carefully work it out. If the broken section is deep inside, you will have to remove the lock, and take it to a locksmith to have it removed. Might be cheaper to buy a new lock, and have it re-keyed to match your old key, usually the re-keying is free.

I'm assuming you can't see any part of the key sticking out that you can reach with tweezers or a small needle nose plier. Without removing the lock you can take 2 of those dental floss picks, the plastic ones and use the pointed end along the top and bottom of the broken key and jiggle it till it moves out. I have removed many broken keys without removing the locks and it doesn't take all that long. No sense buying tools when there is stuff laying around the house that will work.

Put some superglue on the part of the key you have then put it back in the lock and try to align it with the broken end of the key. Make sure you don't put a big blob of glue everywhere otherwise you'd be gluing the key into the lock. Once you have the key in the lock wait a minute or two so it'll adhere to the broken piece. Just to warn you, this is not easy. Good luck.

Get a set of picks from Auto Zone (not lock picks) they look like dental picks, they have a very fine point that will dig into the soft metal of the key, and if you are lucky you can pull it out. If not, depending on the make you can disassemble the lock and remove it. It's a lot of work but still cheaper than a locksmith, the going rate around my area is right at $175 for key removal.

call a motor vehicle broker consisting of your key code or VIN # they can make you a key yet you'll choose evidence of possession. in case to procure the motor vehicle from that broker it will be worry-free sufficient, then you actually may have a spare for the subsequent time you lock your self out, appears like it really is a habit anyhow. in the experience that your motor vehicle has a trunk launch contained in the motor vehicle and also you probably did not lock each and each of the doors only use the interior launch. in case you do not have a guide or power launch you could attempt to fold down the rear seat if geared up that way or only get rid of the again of the rear seat. do not placed both gadgets of keys interior an identical position contained in the destiny. and finally end up a warmth and danger-free position to sleep.

If there is any part of the key sticking out of the lock, use a pair of needle nose pliers. Otherwise you will need to call a lock smith.

Dont stick super glue in there, it will only get worse. Use some fine tweazers to reach in and pull the broken piece out. Piece of cake.
