I luv' this ole' song!!!

Use to sing it to my children while rocking 'em to sleep!!!

Greensleeves is a good tune. The band I play bass in has been trying to rock it up a bit but were never satisfied with the various results....can't fix it if it's not broke ! LOL

I've heard several times that it was actually written by King Henry VIII.

Neil Young did a beautiful version of the song for Christmas.

Sounds good as a piano solo, can also sound good as a guitar solo. Would probably sound best when played with old fashioned string instruments like the mandolin and lute.

yeah i like it as a what do you call it... classical song
i don't really listen to classical music or that type, i'm in orchestra, so it's what we do.
