1 tbsp honey
3/4 glass tea
2 shots brandy or whiskey
1 slice lemon

There are many variations; the essential elements are as follows:
a spirit base such as brandy, rum, or whiskey.
hot water (or other hot liquid such as tea or coffee).
a sweetener, such as honey, sugar or syrup.
(often) spices, generally "brown" spices such as cinnamon or cloves.
(often) citrus: lemon or orange.
lemonade can also be used instead of hot water and citrus; this is a modern variant.

Whiskey, honey, lemon, and a little water. Heated. This is one way of making a toddy. There are other ways. Mixed about 1/3 cup of each ingredient and heated its wonderful for colds and flu.
