Good question. It's not just the borders, but we need to secure the ports, chemical and nuclear plants too. Little or nothing has been done despite the pleas of the guys who headed the 9-11 Commission and the Democrats in Congress. In the meantime, we're spending 7 billion a month on Iraq, 23000 have been killed or wounded, and the US presence in Iraq has created more terrorists according to the National Intelligence Estimate.

There is no economic advantage to the present leadership to close the borders in the U.S. as a matter of fact with all the cheap labor coming in they have an advantage as they are the owners of business's that hire them. However they do not want Iraq to be secure either as when there is turmoil in the mide east the price of oil goes high. Record profits are to be had. Bush is an oil man, Cheney is an oil man and therefore are enriching themselves by keeping the war going in Iraq.

These are the actions of a megalomaniac, hell bent on world domination, using 911, the New Pearl Harbor, as an excuse to attack every country that he can, slowly taking over the world, or, a New World Order, as he put it. Come to think of it, I have heard that phrase before, from Adolf Hitler. A new World Order, with him and his family at its head, ruling not a democracy, but a tyranny. Check out the link below, if You are interested in what has happened from 911 on. I dont ask anyone to believe me, but to believe their own eyes. Let those who have ears, hear. Let those who have intelligence understand. Please view the whole thing before coming back on me, then, at least you will know of which you speak. Mr Silverstein, who purchased the Trade Towers just before 911, made sure to have terrorist insurance placed on the buildings. The Bush family was in charge of security just before 911, and then quit right after the 911 disaster. Mr Silverstein made $9 billion, yes, I said billion, dollars on the destruction of the two buildings, buildings which had asbestos inside of them, that were outmoded, and loosing money for the owner. Coincidence that Mr Silverstein, who has multi national pollitical pull, should have the buildings destroyed, as well as giving Rumsfeld his "New Pearl Harbor" that he mentioned in hids Rumsfeld Commission Report in the 90's? Who bought to Put Options on United Airlines, and American air lines just two days before the 911 disaster? Why did Norad lie about when it knew of the attacks, then send the war planes the OPPOSITE direction, insuring the airlines would not be intercepted? And WHY did Bush put in his journal that 2 planes had been flown into the Trade Towers on SEPT 10??? Why is he heard on national tv stating that he SAW the first plane hit, when the media hadnt even been notified, and were NOT televising the Trade Towers at that point in time? At least look at the video, download it, and show it to others, and let the public make up its own mind, without the lies of the Major Media Services spreading their falsehoods to cover up a conspiricy of dynamic proportions

The Democratic Party is doing its best to see that the border is NOT secured. The amnesty of 20 million criminal Mexicans is not a deterent to further invasion. Your question should be addressed to Ted Kennedy, Joe McCain and Solomon Oriz, or other members of the Party or Hispanic Caucus.

Yes, because we must finish the job we started........I was against going to Iraq..........we should have concentrated on Afganistan. But as long as the current administration is in power, then, there is always 2008 to look forward to for some good ideas which hopefully bring back some common sense again.

President Bush is pursuing a globalist agenda to create a North American Union, effectively erasing our borders with both Mexico and Canada. This was the hidden agenda behind the Bush administration's true open borders policy.

Because we are war with Iraq...that's a bit more important to focus on right now. As for the borders, they are adding more Border Patrols and giving them better equipment to work with right now, but our only problem with Mexico is that all their people are illegally coming into our country. In Iraq, we have people who are trying to destroy our country.
