No it isn't. Did you know people thought Aristotle was insane. Isn't smarter just a point of view. Back to the topic, the answer is no. It's all in how the music stimulates the brain. No doubt that music makes a difference in moods, attitudes, and such. All of us are unique which means Mozart may have a large affect on a subconscious or no affect, or anything in between.

It has been proven. I read the study. You can raise your IQ by 10 points or more while listening to Mozart. However, it's only temporary. Sorry about that! If it were permanent, we'd probably all be walking around all day with Mozart in our iPods!

I've heard the same thing. But, usually, they say for young children and babies. Young folks are still developing and building important brain connections that most us have already developed, or will never develop by now. Many kinds of stimulating interaction with children/babies at a young age--- music, colors, words, languages, and so on have been proven to help them with brain development (and/or intellect) in adult life.

The music itself doesnt actually make you smarter. It makes you more calm and makes it easier to concentrate on the material you study. This, in turn, makes you remember things you read.
