Watching the St. Patrick's Day Parade in NY.
Making (and eating! Yum! ) Colcannon and having Irish Soda Bread, Corned Beef and Cabbage at my Mom's.

Last year, it was also learning all the things about St. Patrick that I never knew. We watched a special on Public Television that was really interesting!

Last year I had a family get together at my house, and I am not even irish! But it was so fun. I went to the craft store and bought all kinds of st pattys day knick knacks, and made little gift baggies. I made corned beef and cabbage and decorated with shamrock lights. I even made up a little facts on St. Patricks day quiz for my guests. I had so much fun and I plan to do it again. I guess my favorite part of the holiday is who it is named after. St. Patrick did great things for Irelands Christianity.

Getting drunk and blaming it on your heratige rather than your ability to resist drinking more than you should. After all, God invented whiskey to keep the Irish from ruling the world.
