why dont any of the other seasons get two names and where did this two name dealy come from.

Fall was what it was called in the UK when the pilgrim fathers left, over here it later became autumn but in the US they stuck with fall.

Yes it's the same thing, but you could argue and say that Autumn is the nice part when the weather is still okay and the leaves are beautiful colors, and Fall is the second half when the weather is colder and dreary and all the leaves from the trees have fallen or are almost all fallen. But then people will look at you weird lol.

Same season Autumn. Some places the tree leaves turn colors and fall off so it is also called Fall .Other places no leaves falls down and use the same name autumn. Remember the book : the Autumn of the Patriarch
