im not making this be a funny question or anything, i really want to know. the reason why is because im just starting to think that my rabbit is a little bit off the regular end. i mean im not saying that he bumps into walls or anything, he is just too out of the ordinary, which in a way is a good thing. but im so dead curious to figure out whether he is or isnt a bit disordere.

as a previous question i asked before, i mentioned how he is too layed back that is absolutely not scared of anything. i ve had him for over 2 years and since the very day i found him he has been the same. you can pick him up and hold him like a baby and he would relax all the way, it is like he is dead but he isnt. he has been like this since the day i found him, and its a good trait, right? but im curious to know...does my rabbit have to be 'disordered' to be THIS layed back, this UN normal ??

can pets be disordered?

you can also go to my 360' page and see a foto of him. or also to my fotos section, under the category Chikee fotos and see him as well.

see the foto of him with the sunglasses? he can lay like that in that position for over an hour and he wont move, its like he is in some trance and then hops away as if nothing happened....see what i mean?

you can play with his teeth and he wont even bite, you can do anything to the rabbit and he wouldnt react, but he lives like as if nothing ever IS occuring....???

Your rabbit sounds very cool, laid back, and uninhibited and happy with you. You both sound lucky to have met each other! As long as he eats and drinks well, and poops well (their droppings is one of the best ways to judge a bunny's health), I wouldn't be too worried - just enjoy his company and friendship! Here's a very cool site that will help you interpret your bunn's behaviour and what he's 'saying' to you -

Enjoy!

When my cat came home from the vet after getting fixed, he has never been the same. He walks in circles for hours, runs into doors, and goes into deep trances.
Somebody told me that too much anesthesia can do this to animals. But i doubt that the bunny hasn't had to go under.
My cat is still cool, just "special".

In very rare cases yes, but that is a very common trait in rabbits that are tame. Some say it's kind of a hypnoses thing. You just have a cool rabbit.

do they have a body and blood and a brain..just like any other living animal on earth that can have a mental disability?
if yes then of course they can be off the wall..

the vet can also give the animal meds just like humans to help in this problem.

good luck

Well, it's possible that he's like that because you raised him well, treated him kindly and he was well-socialized with people when he was little. Any animal with a brain can be "mentally disordered" - animals can suffer from tumors, hormone and chemical imbalances, damage due to disease or head injury and post traumatic stress.

For sure animals can have mental disorders.
I have noticed it in some pure breed dogs... the inbreeding does something to them aside from just physical things.

Yes, this can happen in animals. I see it happen sometimes with the animals I see at work. Have him checked at your local Veterinarian and they will be able to do tests on your little one to see what could be the issue. He may just be a very laid back bunny, but definently be on the safe side and have him checked. Good luck and I hope this helps out!!!

Yeah, I think it's possible. I think that my dad's dog is hyperactive, has ADD, and is a little bit on the slow side.
