Have someone pitch to you and try to see the seems and the writing on the ball. After a while you'll pick it up.

I gotta agree with defarso. I saw better pitching than that in high school. I faced Joel Zumaya from the Detroit Tigers back when he threw slow (84mph), and faced a few other guys that were being clocked at 80+. Honestly, 80 isn't even that fast...I just wasn't that great of a hitter.

Build up youre forearms and wrists... you could get someone to stand in front of you, hold a ball about chest high then get them to say stride and drop it straight down and you hit the ball into a fence. this drill simulates a 90 mile an hour pitch. keep in there youll be alright.
