It is so active it will react as though the sodium was a metal (which it is anyway)and the water is an acid (which it is normally not active enough to act like). It will release hydrogen gas at a high rate in an exothermic reaction and could cause an explosion.

By small, I hope you mean no bigger than the end of your pinky. The sodium will begin to fizz rapidly and dance around on the surface of the water. It will most likely burst into flames, and if the piece is big enough, explode. Anything bigger will become a serious threat to you and the people around you, unless you were prepared for this sort of thing. A piece as big as a brick could easily kill you. :D

Cheese yet no dairy free dreessing? Uhm once you're particular. toddler spinach- avocado wedges beefsteak tomatoes- sliced, walnuts crispy writer 1st baron verulam- truly cripsy, no flabby fatty bits, in elementary words the crispy stuff- both the morningstar stuff *( very good), or writer 1st baron verulam from an animal. Assemlbe each and every of the elements except the writer 1st baron verulam. upload a thick dollop of yoghurt, strained, thick greek yoghrut to the right, blend gently, so as no longer to soak the leaves, yet in basic terms leave a path throughout. You suggested no dairy- both that is mistype ( you element out cheese earlier), OR use soy or almond yoghurt. Thick greek sheep or goat milk yoghurt is impressive for this salad, and extremely fresh. SOy yoghurt- in simple terms get the thick type, and upload a splash of lemon juice to the salad. even as the salad is coated, , upload on suitable the nice and cozy crispy writer 1st baron verulam bits- in inch lengthy chunks. suitable with some crumbs extra of walnits, and eat immediately even as the writer 1st baron verulam is warmth and the yoghurt cool. that's so good.

You get sodium hydroxide (skin-eating lye), hydrogen, and a lot of energetic reaction, usually resulting in a nice explosion, hence, like our colleague said: STAND BACK!
