since my children have been 9 I let them tell me what they want for a party and what they think is "cool". boys at 16 don't want a surprise super 16 party sorry mom.. id say a party with a band no extended family and if not that let him and his friends go out with an extended curfew for tha night only of course have rules and boundaries ahead of time

well the best thing for a 16 yearold is to feel like a adult so have a famlie gathering and make a big deal for your benafit and then send him off give him a couple of hours more on curfue and enjoy the rest of the evening have fun

What are his interests? A new car would be cool if you can afford one. Sixteen is a milestone year, so make it big. I bought my son a new loaded laptop computer for his 16th birthday. It set me back about $1700 but it was pretty cool. His friends are still talking about it. Dell accepts payments too if you need to go that route.

Would be easier if I knew where you lived. If he is into sports, you can rent out the club house and have all his friends there. Or just get some tickets for a group of friends to go. If he is into music see if there is a concert he wants to go to and get some tickets for him and a few friends.

First thing is first. You need to get him a really kewlio cra. then plan a surprise party for him. get him out of the house and invite all of his close friends. DON"T INVITE RELAVTIVES! Then when you bring him back to the house and let him go in he will be so surprised.

Be careful you know at that age but let him ave a party and you be in the other room that way nothing goes on like sex,drugs,and drinking.

well u could buy him a car that is afordable!!! or take him shopping for a car and buy one that is under a cetrain price that day!!! that's what i would do!! unless he already has a car... then u could do a surprise party and ask his best friend to invite tons of people including girls!!! then leave about half and hour after it starts and let the party start with no adult supervision!!! that would rock for him!!! good luck!!!

Let him and a few of his friends have dinner somewhere with out you there like TGI Fridays. That's what I did for my 16th and it was LOTS of fun.

a cool thing wolud be to Just stay away from him for that Day. and let him Go to whatever places he wants with his friends.
