I have read and read all the questions and comments about the video of Steve Irwin's death being released. There seems to be a LOT of misinformation out here.

First.. the footage of the stingrays was something he was doing for the new show he and Bindi were doing called Bindi the jungle girl, and was NOT for the documentary of the oceans most deadly creatures.

Second the BULL ray That barbed him was hidden under the sand, not in plain sight. Steve was not poking a stcik at it or harrassing it and prob did not know it was there!
Third... It was not a vicious attack from the ray... as Steve swam over it it startled, barbed him and took off. It is doubtful Steve ever realized what hit him.
Fourth It was fast
The ray stung him and Steve clutched his chest , pulled the barb and he was gone.... Thats it
Its not like there is hours of documentary footage etc... It was fast, unexpected and awful
Its up to the Irwins to decide if STEVE would have wanted it released. Give it a rest.

Correct its a statement not a question.

I am not at liberty to discuss how I know or why I have this info but I assure you it is correct.

I just felt the need to put it out here after reading so much feedback on the video.

Thank you for reading... Good on ya all!

The other night on 20/20,when Barbara Walters interviewed Terri Irwin, that question was asked and according to Terri, "It Will Never Happen." I wish everyone would just remember him the way he was, give the family some privacy, and let Steve Irwin "Rest In Peace"

"I am not at liberty to discuss how I know or why I have this info but I assure you it is correct."

Why do you day that?? Makes it sound like you have "inside information..." There's nothing you've written there that I didn't already know, or that couldn't be found by anyone who took 10 minutes to search news/video archives...

However I do agree with you. Releasing the video to the public would not be acceptable, and I pray for the family's sake that it doesn't leak out.

I personally, do not want to see anything that Steve Irwin would not have wanted shown. I respect him and his work, and am very sorry for his wife and children having lost him. May he rest in peace, and may his memory live on.

That video musn't been released, it's awuful to think that a person's death can be witnessed just for "fun" or curiosity"
