I've been sending FAX resumes. Applied at the county , applied at some hospitals, applied at most Temp agencies in my city, and there's no jobs. what else can i do? Maybe i need more patience but i'm beginning to feel worthless.

Don't give up!! Finding a job is a job in itself. If you can be motivated to get out there & find a job then you have a good positive attitude already!! Have someone check out your resume to see if it can be made more attractive. Try sending a covering letter picking out words from the job ad you are responding to, example: they are looking for a flexible, adaptable person. Put in your covering letter that you are flexible & adaptable. Make a list of who you apply to & if you don't hear within a week contact them & ask when they would like to see you, let them know you are keen & that you are available to start immediately. It shows you're serious & want to work. Good luck!!

You send resumes out as do possibly hundreds of others. First, you need to make sure your resume makes sense for the gigs you are going for. Second, you need to separate yourself from the rest of the pack. What makes you a winner, a leading candidate, a MUST MEET? Pick ten jobs that interest you and send a creative calling card. EXAMPLE: I wanted to work for a high-end leather manufacturer. I took a picture of myself in front of their billboard and made a postcard out of the picture that I sent with my resume. I wrote this cheesy line: "If I am willing to climb up this billboard to get your attention, can you imagine what I'll do for your clients?" They hired me because I was different and had the energy they were looking for? Think creative. Capture their attention.
