Other than some event (like cheating or robbing a bank or killing a puppy), how do you know when it's over? Give me an example and let me know how you dealt with it.

Thanks!

Hey Luis, One thing you can do is imagine life without them, imagine if they were diagnosed with a terminal disease and should expect to die within the next few months, or if they are in a wreck and in a coma, whatever works for you, just get there, really try to feel it, then notice how you really feel about this, are you devastated, does it kill you or do you just feel numb, uncertain how to feel, HOW DO YOU FEEL? When you can get in touch with these feelings, you will know if it's over. Sometimes it is very difficult to be honest with yourself...it takes real effort. Good luck to you.

when the going gets tough, the tough get going.
If you've broken up before and found that it has so many thing that you've over looked that can't be gotten anywhere else, then you starting using your head instead of your yips and come backs for the short coming of many old grievances that irritate everybody. so you can see what you want in a marriage til you go through the door. then assess the, what is lost against what u want. you can't do this and be together chocking each other to death, once you see this way and you've already done this to maybe you have to know your self well enough to not think about anything but is the grass greener on the other side of the fence or are there issues. they cause impasses and then lock up, so this is not rocket science but it don't make a smooth ride either, and if hard knocks can't be avoided. then I never try to blame each other because we don't rule the world. the milky way is our constellation and it's flying through space at 34,500 miles an hour and were in it. take a look through each door and hang on to them a lil' as you go through them. that will tell you if it over.

For me, I knew it was over with my ex bf when what he said or did didn't ellicit any kind of response from me, positive or negative...nothing, nada. I simply just didn't give a s**t anymore and if he walked out the door, it wouldn't have mattered. I would wake up the next day and go on with my life as if nothing happened.

When the love is gone. When you are relieved to see the driveway is empty when you get home. When you hear them come home & your thought is "oh sh*t". When you would rather do anything with anyone to keep from being alone with them. I got a divorce. Life is too short to waste time being misrable.

When she told me she didn't love me like a wife should love her husband and that she was done. What can you do, I was told life goes on. You deal with it by letting God fix it.

When you look a them and feel like you want to throw up. That would be a good sign.

You know when it's over when you have to ask the question..."When is it over with your significant other"

It's over. Move forward

Everyone has their own boundaries I guess. I would not tolerate anything I deem disrespectful - disregarding my feelings, physical and emotional abuse, invasion of privacy.

i think a good sign is when you don't miss them when anymore when you are apart. or when you can picture them with someone else and it isn't heart breaking. these are the ways i could tell with my ex. and i don't think that love will ever completely dissapear, but when you can be held by someone else and not see his/her face, good sign.
