Cough in her face just like how she coughs and see how she likes it. It will show her how she looks and might make her change her mind.

At the ripe old age of one month she's not able to control her own movements, let alone understand what you want her to do.

However, when you cough make sure she can see what you do and she will subconciously learn by mimicking your behavior.

Good Luck!

One month is a little early to expect manners from them. Maybe when he or she is two you can try to begin teaching. At one month they do little more than smile, eat ,sleep drool and the other poop. You the mom get to clean it all up but it is always worth it they are sooo cute! Maybe you should call your health nurse she can give you advice and work with you,
Hope that helps

Go back to Education for Parenting, look under Common Sense, and make special note that a one month old child can not know nor do such things.

Guess this is your best attempt at being funny?

Make her go to the bathroom, grab a Kleenex and cough into the Kleenex. Afterwards have her mow the lawn and do the dishes. After all, she is ONE month old.

you can't possibly expect a baby to cover their mouth when they cough...I know lots of grown up who don't...the best thing to do is after they cough try and wash their face and hands...and get to the bottom of why they are coughing in the first place..

Read some good parenting books. No one month old baby can do this.
This HAS to be a joke question.

You can not be serious. They can not even hold up their head at one month, much less cover their mouth. Trust my experience.

I don't cover my mouth when I cough, maybe I need some discipline, too.
Tell me how you get her to do it. Maybe I will try it for myself.

JERK! she may not know how to cover her mouth when she coughs, because she is only a baby!!!

But she is smart enough to know that you are an idiot!
