is there such a thing as a movie ipod? i have a 60gig video ipod... is this the same thing? i dont really want to buy movies off itunes, can i just pop in dvds i own and somehow put them on my itunes?

The video iPod plays movies. You can buy them from iTunes and download them. You CAN convert your own DVD's for use on your iPod, but you need software to do it. You cannot just drag it from your DVD player on your computer into your iPod. You can buy a converter for around $50, or you can use a couple of free software programs to manage the conversion in a couple of steps. I haven't done it yet myself.

yeah sure video ipods are fifth gen. ipods so they can work with the movies. Also, you can pop in a DVD into your drive only if you ACTUALLY HAVE a DVD drive in your computer so that you can read it.. then go into itunes and click on the inserted cd icon that you would if you put your music disk in and download it in. You MUST have the newest version of i tunes to do this!

Yes.. It's the same thing because you can put movies and videos on it.
