i've just set up a wireless network in my house, we DON'T have the internet yet, and would like to know:

is it possible to get a chat program to chat to the users of the other networked PC's in my house, via the wireless network, WITHOUT going online?

and where would i get the softwear?

Absolutely! I have three computers in my residence. They all know each other very well. I learned this through networking concepts. For the novice, you must become familiar with Network Setup Wizard. It is the XP do-it-for-you-Network wizard. If you need help setting up your network email or im me. Good luck.

You could make a networking drive and install some type of chat software. To make a networking drive open up My Computer> Tools>Map Network Drive.

Good luck.
