If you don't want to install it, you can use the Java version. Go here and down at the bottom click "launch web messenger" and the Java version of Yahoo! Messenger will launch.

You can't but you can have a yahoo mailing address w/o downloading messenger.

You can download it onto a CD then run the program off of your CD without downloading it on your computer's harddrive.
