Divide 253.11 by 32.45, division is the opposite of multiplication.
Then make the decimals whole numbers by multiplying them both by 100
You get 25311/3245
Using long division,
By trial and error you get 3245 can go in to 25311 7 times with a remainder of 2596
When you add a zero to the remainder, and get 25960, you will find that 3245 can go into 25960 8 times.
However, because you added 1 zero to get to this point your answer must have 1 decimal point. The answer is therefore 7.8
