most tattoo shops have a minimum of $45 no matter how small the tattoo...for the needle and time for sanitizing and setting everything up....it will ultimately depend on the tattoo shop...a small butterfly hould not be more than $75...depending on the ammount of detial and the size...2 sq inchs or less

Well first of all, it depends where you are. In Canada, it depends on size, color and where you want it. You really shouldn't be worried to much about the price because a tattoo is on your body for the rest of your life, you should really research the shop that you are considering to get a tattoo at. Like find out what type of ink is used, as well as cleanliness, and artistic integrity (how good they are). You should get something that means something to you and will not regret!

No matter how small they tend to start at $50.00 I have never seen a shop that has anything lower priced despite the size.

A lot less than it will cost to have it removed when you are embarrassed to have it. Don't put permanent marks on your body.
