Is this for real? Can that be part of the reason for the achiness and cramps in my lower abodomen? I am 8 weeks pregnant...?? Has anyone else experienced this?

I am NOT losing my mucuous plug- nothing has come out. The question was regarding what causes all the early crampiness and pain that sometimes comes on suddenly.

Your mucus plug forms almost as soon as you become pregnant, not during the 8th or any other later week. This is your body's self protection against infection for the fetus. This plug may be released up to 2 weeks before you go into labor, or may only come out as your water breaks.

The cramps in your lower stomach are more likely the stretching of ligaments as your baby grows, especially if this is your first child. However, always ask your doctor about any unusual or unexplained pain you feel.

YOU NEED TO SEE YOUR DR...I WAS 6 MONTHS PREGNANT AND LOST MY MUCOUS PLUG WITH CRAMPING, I ALMOST HAD TO DELIVER AND TAKE THE RISK OF MY BABY NOT SURVIVING, MAYBE ITS SIGNS OF MISCARRIAGE.
