my cousin, not sure if hes second or third or removed or what and I have the strangest discussions when we drink. SOmehow we came up on the subject of sex and cousins and then we got to wondering what kind of cousins we are. I know i know its odd. Not saying we want to have sex with eachother we're just wondering how far down the blood line the law stops caring about incest.

never said I WANTED to have sex with him. We were actually talking about plyamagast guy in AZ and how he had30 wives and then we got into discussing where the incest stops being incest because if you think about if the adam and eve thing is true we're all related. again I DONT want to have sex with him-we were more curious about what cousins we are.

You are 3rd cousins and in every country in the world there is nothing in either religious or secular law to stop you from having sex with a 3rd cousin.
In most countries 2nd cousins are also accepted, and in many even 1st cousins are fine (and actually encouraged).
Don't listen to all the a**holes swearing at you. Sounds to me that they're the result of a lot of brother-sister redneck sex themselves!

That would be your second cousin, and is far enough out that the incest laws do not apply. Some states even allow first cousin marriage, and the criminal law usually only applies in the direct family line (including step-relationships)

I think it makes you second cousins once removed. Pretty sure it's legal at that point. But if you were raised as "cousins" or in the same family circle (like step-siblings), it's probably a little weird and other family members would probably freak out.

They would be your second cousin. first cousins share the same grandparents, second cousins share the same great-grandparents, third cousins share the same Great-Great-Grandparents, ect. If they are the same generation as you then they are just your ___ cousin, if they are a generation before or after you then they are once removed, two generations apart and they are twice removed, ect.

I believe that your mothers cousins son would be.. Your 2nd cousin, If I'm correct.
No idea, if it's legal though. Sorry I can't help you with that. I bet it is, I mean if your both over eighteen you can make your own desitions. Doesn't mean they will be the best, but you can.

You are second cousins. Don't think it's legal here. All that about 1st or 2nd cousins having deformed babies is bullshit. They marry 1st cousins all the time in other countries. Just another lie from our government!

Um, its your MOTHER'S COUSIN'S SON. Let it go. Its wrong...even if the person is once, twice or three times removed. There are PLENTY of fish in the sea. Don't even think twice about it. Wouldn't you be mortified to hear if YOU were the result of such a strange relationship???

it's not about the law it's about morals have some dignity just the simple fact that he is kin no matter how far down the line should be enough to tell you that it is wrong. How would your mother feel about this?
