Sweetie listen to me. PLEASE STICK WITH WEARING A PAD. Toxic Shock syndrome is very common and I dont want you to get hurt. It also hurts a little when you insert a tampon in your vigina. Being virgin has nothing to do withnot wearing a tampon but please it's very risky and take the right step and use a pad

uhh nothing, tell your mom to stop feeding you lines of b.s. and pass on the tampons! I have used tampons since the first time i got my period.... pads are gross, just be careful to change it as necessary so you dont risk getting t.s.s.

Mrs. McKinney obviously has been living under a rock b/c there is no way to definately tell if you are a virgin or not. People say that a doctor can tell if you are a virgin or not by looking at your hymen in your vagina. If it is intact, you are a virgin. If it is not intact you are not a virgin, BUT physical activity like sports, bike riding, and tampon use can tear your hymen even if you are a virgin so its not true....

If you use the right size tampon for your period and insert it correctly you should not be able to feel it inside of you whether your a virgin or not. They dont get lost in you unless you use your finger to insert it too far.

There are instructions and information inside of EVERY tampon/pad box that tells you how to insert and prevent tss....

GOOD LUCK

Your mom probably remembers the 'one size fits all' tampons back in the day...they were quite uncomfortable if you were small or a virgin. Today almost all of the tampon companies make slender tampons that are quite comfortable and safe. A gyn should have some info and samples of small size tampons, that might help ease your mom's mind. Remember tampons have to be changed frequently :)

I think a lot of times parents don't want their children using tampons because of Toxic Shock Syndrome. When a younger child tries to use them, they aren't always fluent with how to use them or when to change them. I am pretty sure it can make it look like you are not a virgin,on tests they take for people who may have been raped or something.

Maybe she is one of the many that think you cant if you're a virgin-which if very untrue-...maybe shes afraid of her lil girl becoming a woman to quickly...theres so many possibilities. Look up the topic online, you're sure to find some good info to print up and show her that it IS possible for a virgin to wear a tampon...By the way, you know your mom better than I do, dont push your luck...id rather deal with pads than be grounded for making her mad : )

Being a virgin has nothing to do with wearing a tampon.

that has nothing to do with wearing a tampon. tell her to look it up so she can see for herself that it will not take your virginity. but she might just be scared of the toxic shock thing for you. plus since you ARE a virgin, they may not feel right, but if they feel fine then good!again, get your mom to look it up, wearing a tampon wont take your virginity!!!!!!

There could be a couple of reasons that I can think of. 1. Toxic Shock syndrome. This is a type of septic shock that can occur when you use tampon.

2. Also , you could possibly lose one of them up in there - seriously, it happens

3. She may think you're too young to be putting things up there.

absolutley nothing, seems as though your mom thinks that if you put a tampon up your vagina that it takes away your virginity which is an outdated and very ignorant thought. tell her to do some research

Suggest to your Mom that she ask a gynecologist about this. She needs some informed advice.

Tampons will not damage your virginity.
