Im waiting to see if my period is comming on Oct. 1st. my last period was Sept. 9th and i had unprotected sex with my hubby on the 15th of Set. What are the chances of me being pregnant? I have very sore boobs and i feel dizzy sometimes. And im having a white "egg white" type discharge.

your mucus plug appears right before you go into labor...their is a chance of you being pregnant however you wont be able to find out until atleast a few days after your missed period, your boobs being sore is a sign of pregnancy however, sometimes it is a sign of you about to start your period...there is no for sure way to know....the egg white discharge is normal...for both being pregnant and or fixing to start your period aswell....that is pretty normal for both...um....you can try washing real good with a bar soap like dial or dove (shower gels or liquid soaps tend to make discharge worse) or try doushing...sometimes our bodies just need help getting clean on the inside....i wouldnt get a medicated douch...i would just get a vinegar and water one...you can find it in the med. section of wal mart or at walgreens....good luck sorry if i didnt help. good luck

Normally, vaginal excretions the consistency of eggwhites indicate, due to their slippery nature, ovulation, not pregnancy. If the first day of your last period was September 9th, you would more likely, if your cycle is "normal", ovulate around September 23rd. However, today is just the 28th, you might ovulate later than most and that could be the source of your discharge.
The mucus plug is sort of like a cork, made of mucus, that fills the cervical opening and stops the intrusion of germs and foreign materials into the uterus while pregnant. You will not see the mucus plug until it falls out, as early as 2 weeks before the onset of labor, and as late as whenever your water breaks. Therefore, even if you are pregnant, you shouldn't be seeing a mucus plug anytime soon!
The best advice is to wait until you have missed your period, and then get a pregnancy test. Also, if your cycle is 28 days long, and the first day of your last period was September 9th, you shouldn't expect another until October 7th.
Also, as to the recommendation of douching, most gynecologists discourage douching as a manner of cleaning yourself. Douching sends a signal to your body's natural cleansing system that it is no longer needed. Many people, once they begin a regular douching, must continue it for the remainder of their lives because their body no longer cleanses itself.

The mucus plug forms at the open end of the cervix to block it so that the pregnancy can be contained in the uterus without leaking.
Usually an 'egg white' discharge means that you are ovulating - so - have hope!

You could be ovulating. Don't worry about it being your mucus plug. That comes at the end of your pregnancy, usually when your water breaks.

Your mucus plug does not discharge until late in pregnancy so don't look for it now. As far as what it looks like think of snot and there you have it.

Not usually! However are you sure it a mucus plug??? If it is then it should clear to just a slight tint of yellow. Not dark yellow or brown or blood tinged. This would indicated an infection and she needs immediate vet care. Pyro. would be be my first concern, it is an infection of her uterus. If you have any question then have her vet checked.

The "egg white" thing could mean you're ovulating. Always a chance of pregnancy with unprotected sex...and a slight chance WITH protected sex!!
