Ok, me and my boyfreind have been together for 7 months, and things are going great! The reason i started dating him is because he has a great sense of humor and is always a fun guy to be around. unfortunately when i intruduce him to a new friend or when we're out at a party, when he gets nervous around new people he starts to talk nonstop and make immature remarks or noises. It's like he starts acting like a little kid out to dinner with his parents. how do i tell him to be more polite when he is in a public place? my friends really like him when they get to know him, but before they get a chance to see what hes really like they think hes a jerk.

"Take it down a notch, junior." or something like that to signal him--but tell him direct if he doesn't catch it.

well his parents should have raised him to be polite in the first place..i don't know if you'll be able to change his ways, but good luck trying...you might be better off just saying i give up and finding a new guy that doesn't have such a problem..someone thats perfect for you not just almost perfect

You liked him the way he is so stay happy and don't let your friends change that.
