I also come from a small town in the Midwest (Michigan) and I moved here 3 years ago. One of the great things about Seattle is that it's still a small town compared to other large urban areas. Our neighborhoods feel like small little towns in and of themselves. There is something here for everyone. If you love nature, you will love it here. Seattle has been very careful to keep the city green, with lots of trees, parks, and water. The surrounding area is beautiful too...mountains, forest, ocean, etc.

I would definitely recommend visiting here first, just to make sure it is what you want. I knew right away that this is where I wanted to be.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU! :)

stay away from places close to Rainier. do not stay in elements like Lake city, Rainier Valley, Beacon Hill, or Colombia city. There are some elements that are calmer that are nevertheless in Seattle, yet don't have that busy, huge city vibe like downtown. elements round Greenlake are sturdy if it really is what you're searching for. Seattle is on the west coast so seashores are not an issue to locate, yet understand that it rains 50% of the time and at the same time as it isn't, the sunlight nevertheless not often makes an visual attraction. this isn't precisely the position to get a tan. i have lived right here for a three hundred and sixty 5 days. i flow to college at u-dub, and stay contained in the u-district. i like residing right here. anybody is sooo pleasant and lively! fee of residing is reasonably intense priced i'd say. gasoline is about 3.70 +/-... nutrients is extra intense priced right here than the position I moved from (FL), employ/genuine property is extra to boot (see you later as you're searching on the added secure/nicer elements). Public transportation is sturdy, so so that you could not have an issue getting round.

Seattle is a great place to live.
Check out Magnolia, Madison Park,
and Belltown. Don't forget to eat at Maggy Bluffs.
